Week 32

What to expect at
32 weeks

Your baby is the size of a cantaloupe.

Fetal Position
From now till birth your little one will be getting into the head down position preparing for birth. During this move you may feel more of a tapping than the usual push & kick. This is because baby doesn’t have a lot of room to move around in. Baby will be most comfortable in the fetal position so keep that in mind when you start feeling more movement in a generalized area instead of all over.

Sleep Cycles
You may notice that your little one is more active during certain times of the day than others. This is because he/she is starting a pattern in sleep cycles. Meaning sleeping longer and awake longer.

Your body at 32 weeks

Braxton Hicks contractions

Between now and birth you might experience something called braxton hicks contractions. This is your body practising for the real thing. It will feel like a tightening sensation in your uterus with a release. The way to tell if it is real labour not is change position. If it stops then it was just a practice round. If they continue and get stronger then get ready.
